Prior to joining the Athletic Communications staff, I worked as a member of the Guest Services team for one year (August 2014-August 2015.)
At events, I assisted guests with any questions or concerns they had, as well as coordinating custodial, ticket and emergency staff when necessary. Additionally, on non-event days, I staffed the Welcome desks at the Kohl Center, Kellner Hall and the Student-Athlete Performance Center. In this role, I welcomed guests, answered questions and performed tasks when needed.
I also served as a tour guide, giving hour-long tours of our athletic facilities to school groups, donors and tour groups, ranging in size from 10 to 30 people. This involved learning a script of facts and statistics about each stop on the tour, as well as answering any questions guests had along the way.
